10 Gifting Ad Inspo

I am gonna steal some of these too.

What's up, Marketers! This is Aazar.

This newsletter is about leveling up your paid growth marketing skills by analyzing the best brands' paid strategy, tactics, positioning, and value props.

This newsletter is divided into:

  • Sharing what I've learned

  • Sometimes sharing some other performance marketers’ lessons with you (this issue)

  • And I analyze & compare the best ads on the internet

Personal update: We are lucky to have our second child👶. This is why I took off 2 weeks from the newsletter.

My favorite finds

I’m sure your Black Friday campaign is already up. I’m also gearing up for other campaigns focusing on the gifting angle.

So, I wanted to find some gifting ads I would run, and I thought about sharing them with you too.

Ad #1 - The association angle

Ad principle: Use your product + holiday themes to sell the BIG idea.

Ad # 2 – Hit the emotional strings

Ad principle: Think about how your product could be the best gift.

Ad #3 – The every day useful gift

Ad principle: Combine your product so that it hits benefits with everyday use.

Ad #4 — Use UX familiarity with giving gifts

Ad principle: Giving gifts with your product + UX familiarity. Pretty obvious (I know you might have seen this ad before, but this is the perfect time.)

Ad #5 – The wordplay

Ad principle: Use the first copy and attach the primary benefit that’s not good but a benefit your audience values.

Example:

The Perfect Jeans: Gift the good and the perfect butt

Hinge: Gift the good and the deletion of this app

Ad # 6 – A Gift for you

Ad principle: Don’t underestimate the ‘buying a gift for yourself’ angle.

Ad #7: The ugly notes (yes!)

Ad principle: Hexclad used it on Father’s day. It worked for them. We all know the principle here.

Ad #8 – The emphasis on savings

Ad principle: Emphasize that savings is critical while giving gifts.

Ad #9 – The specific audience

Ad principle: Highlight the type of customers you help. Be more specific.

Ad#10 – The vintage ads (parents angle)

Ad principle: Call out the perfect gifts for your parents.

Are there ads that you saved to your swipe file? Share them by replying; I’ll share it with my audience. I am also going to add more gifting angles to my inspiration board; you can follow or check here.

Thanks to our partners who support this newsletter.
