7 New Trendy TikTok Viral Videos You Should Turn into Ads
I'm going to steal them anyway if you don't...
What's up, Marketers! This is Aazar.
This newsletter is about leveling up your paid growth marketing skills by analyzing the best brands' paid strategy, tactics, positioning, and value props.
This newsletter is divided into:
Sharing what I've learned
Sometimes, share some other performance marketers’ lessons with you
And I analyze & compare the best ads or videos on the internet (this issue)
This newsletter is going to give you ad ideas for your next campaign.
One ad tactic is to hop on a trend. So today, you get trendy videos with some ideas about how I would do it.
These videos are organic viral TikTok trends that could be an ad.
Note: I’d recommend watching the videos first.
Also, you’ll see Atria’s links with the ads. Here’s why I switched to Atria from Foreplay and Magicbrief:
Amazing search UI. It was hard to find ads in other tools.
All-in-one creative strategist tool with script, concept, and brief ideas.
AI review mining and voice-over that enables me to make more winning ads.
Not 500K, but 5 million examples of ads. (And it’s not just other marketers who saved ads.)
You can give it a try here.
Here’s my honest comparison of these tools:
Engagement metrics: 181K likes, 2341 comments, 21K saves, 3.7K shares
Concept: Give your review without speaking. Key tip: The more you exaggerate or show emotions, the better. Strong facial expressions are required. Make it about the product category instead of just the brand.
Why would it work? You don’t need to use words to share your recommendation. It gives you the BIG idea within seconds (whether you hate or love the product). The more honest, the better.
Has someone else done it? Yes, here’s the example:
Engagement metrics: 306K likes, 2170 comments, 21K saves, 3.6K shares
This is an old re-do of the Old Spice campaign:
Concept: This concept is simply a verbal monologue about changing people's minds by tuning into their desires. This ad takes advantage of rapid visual shifts, humor, absurdity, surprise, and novelty.
Why would it work: It is easy to sell one BIG idea while showing several aspects of the product. It’s all about giving value with visuals aligned with the script.
Has someone else done it? Old Spice above. Prime is basically their organic account that serves as an ad.
Engagement metrics: 6.1M likes, 24K comments, 350K saves, 158K shares
Concept: Show the “after” of your product. Show how much fun it is to use your product and people enjoying it. You can also strategically place the product in the center.
Why would it work: Before and after ads work, but if you show how much life elevates because of your product, you can give the bigger idea of transformation.
Has someone else done it? Haven’t seen it yet.

Ad # 4 – Ins and outs
Multiple videos on that trend: https://www.tiktok.com/tag/insandouts
Engagement metrics: 10K likes, 18 comments, 1874 saves, 263 shares
Concept: Showing what is OUT: the pain, problems, obstacles and previous behavior. Showing what is IN: Your product’s benefits, the good after life and whatever your messaging is already hitting as winners.
Why would it work: Super easy to make. It’s like before and after transformation but different. It’s also super easy to implement.
Has someone else done it? This exact one? Not yet, but I have an example like this in my pro newsletter.
Engagement metrics: 9.3Mn views, 209K likes,1431 comments, 24k saves, 10.6K shares
Concept: A live product demo with a live emotion while the user is using it. It’s an ugly ad that doesn’t look like an ad.
Why would it work? Although it is an ad that doesn’t look like an ad, if you have elements in your video that show the powerful product demo that’s emotionally evoking for the user in the video to go through (authentically), it creates a powerful ad.
Has someone else done it? It’s a TikTok shop ad; the creator claims they made roughly 30-50K with it as an affiliate (saw it on Twitter).
Engagement metrics: 442K likes, 5556 comments, 8897K saves, 3.2K shares
Concept: Make fun of the influencer's life while showing how amazing your product is.
Why would it work? This is pure entertainment and will generate a lot of comments, but your product will get attention if the person likes it. Show your love for your product and use it while showing the recorder and influencer.
Engagement metrics: 34K likes, 76 comments, 31K saves, 26K shares
Concept: Product demonstration that saves time. This is particularly great for software products or brands focusing on productivity or saving time.
Why would it work? Folks are always looking for shortcuts. If your product can provide a magic shortcut features like this. It would work.
TL;DR or TL;DV:
Ask your creators to make a silent UGC
Steal Old-Spice copy and launch the new product with this script (look at me)
Make a UGC video with bird’s eye view the after life
Make before and after but with ins and outs
Demonstrate your product that evoke emotions of the user in the ad
Make fun of the influencer life but with your product
Give people shortcuts; we’re all lazy
